Put That Empty 5 Gallon Paint Bucket to Good Use

What to do when the paint is all gone

Don't throw that empty five gallon paint bucket away when you're done. Instead, clean it up, and put it to good use.

Can't think of anything?

Try a few of these ideas on for size:

  • makes a great tool bucket for carrying all manner of tools and equipment. Great for the weekend, or professional handyman on the go.

  • clean the lid (along with the bucket) and use it for storage

  • clean them up completely and give them to charity (such as Habitat for Humanity or Goodwill Industries)

Yes these certainly aren't new ideas, but you'd be surprised at how many people simply throw these handy things out with the garbage.

(Heck, at the big-box stores such as Home-Depot, and Lowe's, they sell for $3.00 - $5.00 apiece!)

I just have a hard time "throwing away" money.
